Full French tennis vocabulary listing – French/English vocabulary on all tennis strokes, tools, tournaments, expressions…

I’m a giant fan of tennis myself and in addition play about 2 to 4 occasions every week, so I hear these French tennis phrases on a regular basis (though those about me main within the rating not as usually as I wanted!).

Let’s begin by a French pronunciation be aware: though many closing “s” in French are silent, the “s” of “tennis” is pronounced.

Tennis Recreation Scoring in French

0-15 = zero quinze

15 – 15 = Quinze A (most frequently) or typically Quinze partout

30 – 15 = Trente quinze

Deuce/40 – 40 = “égalité”
